Father’s Day is fast approaching (June 20,) and there is no one harder to buy gifts for than my dad. Each year I toss and turn trying to hit the right mix of sentimental and fun to tell my dad that I love him without going overboard. What do you get for the man who buys everything he wants? More importantly, what do you get the man who raised you, loved you, and supported you through it all?
This year, I am pre-empting my annual questioning by making a list of items that we have in store that dads will love!
First things first, you can’t go wrong with our “Plant in a Basket and a Pound of Coffee” combination. This includes a fresh pound of locally roasted, organic coffee from Brazen Buck Coffee, a family side-hustle, and a sturdy house plant pre-potted in a basket. What’s not to like?
You can find it here:
We are now offering these two items as a monthly subscription which will be delivered straight to your dad once a month. Is he trying to freshen up his house? Maybe he is working from home and wants to add a little green to his home office! Either way, you can help to gradually build his collection of house plants. You can find the subscription HERE.
If a plant seems like too big of a commitment to bestow upon your father, perhaps an item from Clever Crow Curiosities will do the trick. We have great birdhouses for large and small bird families, as well as bee homes in-store currently! Clever Crow products have a great rustic look that is perfect for a dad who likes to be in the garden.
Come into the shop to see our full selection!
Clever Crow Curiosities also makes fantastic hand-burned Charcuterie boards, decorative signs, and kitchen utensils. There is something for every style!
Last but certainly not least, we have great weighted eye pillows from Ryder and Reece. You can put these in the microwave to warm them up, or place them in the freezer to use as a cold pack for sore muscles. This sports-themed set would work great for any dad!
If you are looking for something else, please come into Calgary Local Florist and have a look around! We’d be happy to see you.
